As industry strives to reduce their carbon footprint, geologic sequestration is emerging as a leading opportunity to permanently store carbon dioxide that would otherwise be emitted to atmosphere. Several CCS projects are currently in the planning and permitting stages in California. Eric will provide a summary of the projects currently in the permitting stages, with specific emphasis on California’s favorable geologic conditions for carbon dioxide storage. Eric will also provide an update on regulatory developments and how they are affecting CCS opportunities in California and the U.S.
